National Eczema Association (NEA)

Engagement Research Grant –- Small research grants for emerging investigators intended to explore a new research concept, pilot a new experiment or undertake a novel or secondary data analysis.  Closed for 2020.  Award notifications are anticipated by November 30, 2020. 

Catalyst Research Grant – Designed to support talented early-career scientists on the path toward becoming the next generation of eczema thought leaders by supporting hypothesis-driven research projects. Closed for 2020.  Award notifications are anticipated by November 30, 2020. 

Eczema Champion Research Grant –- Encourages proven researchers to continue research on emerging or ongoing challenges in eczema or bring their expertise to the field of eczema. 1-year grant with the option for a second year of funding. Closed for 2020.  Award notifications are anticipated by November 30, 2020. 

Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA)

Preliminary deadline*: 11:59 PM PDT, Thursday, September 17, 2020

2020 PeDRA Research Grants – up to $15,000 for one year to support early-stage research projects where preliminary data may be lacking, and to establish infrastructure and foster collaborations that support larger‐scale studies in the future.

Final deadline: 11:59 PM PST, Thursday, December 3rd, 2020

Awards made:  no later than March 15th, 2021

Earliest start date:  May 1st, 2021 

*New optional opportunity: Investigators may submit preliminary applications before September 17, 2020 to be eligible to receive a $500 travel stipend to attend the 2020 PeDRA Annual Conference to discuss their applications with representatives from the PeDRA Grants Committee.  Preliminary applicants may then revise applications and submit by December 3, 2020. If the in‐person 2020 PeDRA Annual Conference is impacted by the COVID‐19 pandemic, then early applicants will have the opportunity to discuss applications virtually and no travel stipend will be provided.  

Consensus Grant - Up to $25,000 for one year to support the creation of consensus guidelines or best practice recommendations for the management of diseases in the field of pediatric dermatology.  Applications due Thursday, December 3, 2020

William Weston Career Development Award - Run in partnership with the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. $40,000 for one year of support for early-career pediatric dermatologists. To support the conduct of a research project under the mentorship of a senior investigator.   Applications due Thursday, December 3, 2020
